Atlanta, GA – A new nonprofit organization, the Christian Investing Council (CIC), has launched to provide an industry-leading voice for Christian values-based investing in the United States.

As the leader of the Christian financial industry, Kingdom Advisors has been convening a community and conversations about faith-based investing for many years. That conversation now moves to the next level with the launch of the CIC, dedicated to the core values of faithfulness, transparency, and independence.

“Faith-based investing has grown to such an extent that we believe it will soon reach and be used by an early majority of Christian investors in the U.S.,” says Kingdom Advisors CEO, Rob West.

As the market expands, the need for clear industry standards has become paramount. “More than ever, firms ranging from boutique RIAs to the world’s largest asset managers are looking for clarity on the definition and strategies for Christian investing,” explains Luke Bolton, Executive for Strategic Relationships at Kingdom Advisors.

With an estimated one-fourth of U.S. adults identifying as practicing Christians, large firms and asset managers have found a business case to support faith-based investing for clients and advisors. Many now offer custom solutions for Christian investors, such as faith-based mutual funds, ETFs, and direct indexing.

This momentum is unlikely to slow soon: research indicates church members hold an estimated 49.7% of public investments in America today, a market of approximately 22.4 trillion dollars.

The CIC will serve this massive market by providing actionable resources for Christian investors rooted in the beliefs, character, and mission of the Christian faith and informed by ecumenical consensus. Taking the Nicene Creed as its statement of faith, the CIC Board brings together theological and industry leaders from diverse Christian traditions.

Key goals for the CIC in 2026 include:

  • Establishing the highest level of theological consensus by engaging a wide range of Christian leaders to endorse the CIC Statement on Christian Investing, which answers the question: What is Christian investing?

  • Developing theological investing guidelines

  • Establishing a shared platform for industry-wide advocacy

  • Publishing consumer-facing research and reports on investment products marketed to Christians

Dr. Greg Forster, who brings an extensive record of scholarly leadership in theology and economics, has been tapped to provide organizational leadership, and Tim Macready of Brightlight will lead the research and reporting function.

Kingdom Advisors is grateful to announce the launch of this new, independent organization as it seeks to bring long-term clarity and collaboration to the Christian investing community.
